چکیده

We describe a case of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) caused by a coronary-pulmonary fistula and myocardial ischemia induced by the coronary steal phenomenon, which was successfully treated with coil embolization. Coronary fistulae and coronary-steal-induced ischemia are rare causes of DCM in adults with normal coronary arteries. Percutaneous treatment represents an alternative to surgery and may be offered as a relatively low-risk procedure. The choice between surgical and percutaneous treatment must take into account clinical and anatomical considerations.

Transcatheter Coil Embolization of a Coronary Artery-Left Ventricular Fistula Associated with Single Coronary Artery Anomaly

Single coronary artery anomaly associated with coronary fistula is a rare entity. Transcatheter coil embolization is the treatment of choice for coronary artery fistulas. In this case report, we describe a patient with both single coronary artery anomaly and coronary fistula who was successfully treated with coil embolization.

Coronary Artery Fistula with Giant Aneurysm and Coronary Stenosis Treated by Transcatheter Embolization and Stent

Coronary artery fistula (CAF) with giant aneurysm and accompanied by coronary artery stenosis is a very rare disease. Herein, we report a case of a 76-year-old woman having a complex coronary-to-pulmonary artery fistula associated with a giant aneurysm and accompanied by coronary artery stenosis. The patient was successfully treated using transcatheter coil embolization and coronary stent impla...

Successful Transcatheter Closure of a Rare

Coronary artery fistulas (CAFs) are anomalous terminations of coronary arteries in cardiac chambers or great arteries created by bypassing the myocardial capillary bed [1]. CAFs are rare and mostly asymptomatic. However, hemodynamically significant CAFs may cause myocardial ischemia, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias and infective endocarditis [2,3]. We present a case of coronary-pulmonary ...

Role of Transesophageal Echocardiography in Surgical Retrieval of Embolized Amplatzer Device and Closure of Coronary–cameral Fistula

Congenital coronary artery fistula is an uncommon anomaly. Transcatheter coil embolization or Amplatzer vascular plug device closure of fistula is often done in symptomatic patients with safe accessibility to the feeding coronary artery. Embolization of Amplatzer vascular plug device is rare. We report an 11-year-old male child who presented to us with increasing shortness of breath for 7 years...

Iatrogenic Left Internal Mammary Artery to Great Cardiac Vein Anastomosis Treated With Coil Embolization

Inadvertent left internal mammary artery (LIMA)-great cardiac vein (GCV) anastomosis is a rare complication of coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Patients with iatrogenic aortocoronary fistula (ACF) were usually treated surgical repair, percutaneous embolic occlusion with coil or balloon. We report a case of iatrogenic LIMA to GCV anastomosis successfully treated with coil embolization and p...
